Purple Bench Project

How do purple benches make a difference??

Changing public perception of violence against women and children in particular requires a commitment from all levels of government and the community at large.

The Purple Bench acts as a stark reminder that as a society we can make a difference, with both little and large steps.

The presence of the Purple Bench in a location where events have been held to raise public awareness would provide the opportunity for this important issue to remain visible as well as providing a physical place to reflect about the important work achieved to date and how we can bring an end to domestic and family violence.

The Women’s Council Domestic and Family Violence awareness campaign

The Council has designed an A3 size Rubbish Bin poster in purple on white (has a guaranteed three-year lifespan) and is printed on gloss white vinyl and ink is UV protected.

Changing public perception of violence against women and children requires a commitment from all levels of government and the community at large.

We believe the posters placed on bins in every street will also provide a constant reminder that Domestic and Family violence is endemic in all parts of our community.

It would be wonderful if you could promote the poster and encourage its prominent display on council rubbish bins across Western Australia.

The poster costs $2.00 each plus postage and handling.
